چکیده

In this paper we present an approach to support the content generation for Augmented Reality (AR)-based technical manuals by modeling and interpreting technical instructions in a semantical way. We propose the separation of the meaning of a technical instruction from its actual representation and accomplish this by designing a semantic instruction model on the base of a controlled natural language. The controlled language serves here as a highlevel specification model for technical activities. Its controlled lexicon and grammar eliminate the ambiguity of meaning and reduce the complexity of language constructs known from full natural languages. This enables automated processing of the instructions. Complemented with references to the geometry of assemblies, parts, tools and other geometric features, the resulting formalized instructions can be easily transformed to both textual and graphical representations. In the demonstration of our results we will focus on the generation of scenes for AR-based maintenance support.

Sketching up the world: In-situ authoring for mobile Augmented Reality

We present a novel system allowing in-situ content creation for mobile Augmented Reality in unprepared environments. This system targets smartphones and therefore allows a spontaneous authoring while in place. We describe two different scenarios, which are depending on the size of the working volume and consequently use different tracking techniques. A natural feature-based approach for planar ...

A survey of XML languages for augmented reality content

In this paper, a survey of XML languages that are used to store content for augmented reality (AR) applications is presented. The goal of the study was to assess the possibilities for standardising the format of AR content to enable interoperability between different AR browsers. There are AR browsers that use a XML language based on KML, an existing standard, others use their own XML language ...

Augmenting the World using Semantic Web Technologies

Creating and maintaining augmented scenes for mobile Augmented Reality browsers can be a challenging and time consuming task. The timeliness of digital information artifacts connected to changing urban environments require authors to constantly update the structural representations of augmented scenes or to accept that the information will soon be outdated. We present an approach for retrieving...

A Validated Framework for Gamified Electronic Teaching of English Language with a Systemic Approach to Instructional Design

One way of making learning English language interesting is through its gamified instruction, especially nowadays that most teachings are done virtually. Doing so, however, requires a valid framework. To construct such a framework a set of 22 peer reviewed papers on language learning and gamified teaching, from among 94 of such papers, was content analyzed and key concepts, and frequently used e...
